About the band

Freakshow are from Launceston in Cornwall. They formed in January 1998, and are a funk-rock band with some very original ideas. Since their formation they have played over 50 gigs around Cornwall and have gone down very well with the local freaks and motherfuckers, especially in Alturnun where there is an extensive inbreeding mongoloid community.
The band consists of: Jon Charnock;guitar, Tim Langsford;drums, Mike Osbourne;bass and vocals. The 3 members have based their entire lives around the ancient Cherokee Indian proverb: Eat music, Sleep music, Drink beer, use public transport.

Influences

The band's main collective influence is the Smashing Pumpkins although Jimi Hendrix, The Red Hot Chilli Pepers and Nirvana have also all been important contributers to their proper education.

News
|
Freakshow will be playing at Launceston's annual music festival 'Castle Rock' this year so make sure you are there. The band have just finished recording their demo e.p. and I can now confirm that the track listing is: Drop Off, Be My Friend, Lucky Day, Liar, Shade and a cover version of Green day's classic When I come around.
